Name: Cherell Anderson
Nickname(s): "Rell", "Bossy"
Hometown: Liberty, Mississippi
Favorite Weapon To Hunt With: 6.5 Creedmoor

Favorite Small Game to Hunt:
"Rabbit. I think it's very interesting watching a pack of good dogs work intensively and run in circles while tracking a rabbit.
"It gets very challenging when it's time to shoot. You have to be ready at all times...because they may jump that sucker 30 yards in front of you-- doing the dash!
"In the end, it's good eating with some rice and gravy and a side of buttered toast."
Favorite Big Game to Hunt:
"Hard to choose between pigs and deer. I'd say pig hunting is my favorite, just because it's year-round and they are a lot dumber than you think. If you're shooting at deer, the chances of them coming back out are low. But when it comes to pigs, at least down in the south, you can take a shot, and they will come back out not far from the same spot. Happened to me a few weeks ago...I had some babies going wild.
"On the other hand, deer hunting is all about patience. Sometimes, I just go to enjoy nature. But when the rut kicks in... that's when the fun starts! Sometimes a buck will outsmart you when you're using a buck caller (2 shorts, 1 long). It's like a game of hide-and-seek. He's hiding... while waiting for that imaginary buck that's 'grunting' to step out. And if there happens to be a doe out there, she'll show signs that the buck is somewhere you can't see him. It's CRAZY! For that reason, many people will state that it's better to just sit in silence."

We did a deep dive and peeped your TikTok post calling out folks who consider themselves "country". What does being "country" mean to you?
"I believe being country is in you, not on you. It's not being from the city and participating in country folk's activities. It's not about what you wear. It's a lifestyle and how you're raised. It's respecting the land, working hard, hunting, fishing, farming, and taking care of the animals.
"I was raised on a ranch where I had to pick 5-gallon buckets of peas, butter beans, corn, okra, etc. If the cows got out, I had to put them back in before the bus came early that morning. Fixing fences until sundown, going into the woods to pick blueberries and blackberries for a cobbler...not to mention baling hay and throwing those square bales onto trailers for the buyers.
"When it came down to cattle, some days it came to a point where you had to help that momma cow give birth by tying string/rope and pulling that calf out of her...whether by foot or a bike.
"Nowadays, people have turned fishing into a sport. I was raised to catch the fish, clean the fish, and cook it the next day, whether it was for dinner or a fish fry. But now the catch 8 lbs. to 12 lbs. and release them back in the pond....thinking it will bite again!"
If you could only do one for the rest of your life....hunt, fish, or trap...which would it be?
"If I had a choice, I'd love to hunt for the rest of my life. It gives me peace. And if someone pisses me off, I could easily picture them as the target (LMAO)! Other than that, every hunt teaches me something new, and I'll always be passionate about it."
