The idea of hunting different turkey species not only in different states...but different habitats...appeals to me GREATLY.

’m not here to convince you which hunting system is best. If you’re doing it safely, that’s all that matters to me. For me, however, safety means a tree saddle rather than a climber or hang-on stand. That’s not to say those methods are unsafe, as plenty of hunters use them successfully, but they just aren’t my cup of tea.

Hunting became more than a hobby—it became a way for me to provide clean, responsibly sourced meat that I know I can eat. Processing my own game also gives me a better understanding of what I'm putting into my body.

This week's spotlight focuses on a veteran and avid bowhunter.
